Claire and Jay were married on October 11th at Haywood Hall in downtown Raleigh. This is one of my favorite locations, it’s so cute! I wasn’t expecting their images so quickly, but their awesome photographer, Joey Seawell, put a sneak peak on his blog today, so I just had to steal them! The photos are fabulous and of course, and it doesn’t hurt that they are such a beautiful couple! As soon as I get the rest of the images, I will post more, the details were fabulous.
Claire, like alot of my brides, lives out of state, so we did alot of planning through email and phone calls. Claire was such a sweet bride and was a joy to work with. She and Jay really wanted an intimate, vintage wedding and Haywood Hall was the perfect spot for them! Their ceremony took place on the front porch of the house with their closest family and friends in attendance. After the ceremony, the guests walked over to the garden to enjoy hors d’ouerves and drinks. Claire and Jay had the yummiest beer brought in from New York (no, I didn’t partake, but it smelled delicious!) and the guests loved it! Catering Works provided all the wonderful food and their service was perfect! As the sun went down, the garden glowed with candles hanging from the huge magnolia tree. The tables were dressed with ivory damask linens and natural chivari chairs from CE Rentals. Fresh Affairs created gorgeous centerpieces of antique hydrangeas and floating candles. Their cake was by Catering Works also, which was covered in sugared fruit. We placed the cake inside the gazebo and hung votives all around with twinkle lights. It was GORGEOUS!!!
After dinner, the Risse band got the crowd on their feet. They did a fabulous job and their lead singer had some pipes! Also, there was a horse drawn carriage waiting to give rides to guests around the Capital. The kids really loved this! After tons of dancing, the guests lined the sidewalk and showered the couple with sparklers. They departed on the horse drawn carriage to their honeymoon! Congrats Claire and Jay!
