In the Office: April

Wow, April went by in a blur! Is anyone else completely shocked that it is already May? We are right in the heart of wedding season and April was our busiest month so far with eight (!!!) events. When we weren’t planning and executing all these gorgeous events, we did manage to fit in some exciting outings.

Megan and I attended the Southern Bride and Groom “Shades of Blue” customer appreciation luncheon held at the beautiful Washington Duke in Durham. It was great seeing and meeting so many event professionals from across North Carolina! We were able to enjoy the sunshine during the cocktail hour and then moved inside for an amazing lunch. Thank you, Southern Bride and Groom, for an enjoyable afternoon!

We also teamed up with fab’rik Chapel Hill for their first Bridal Soiree. We’re huge fans of fab’rik’s affordable and trendy clothing. So many outfits would be perfect for our brides’ engagement sessions or bridal showers! Fab’rik offered 20% off all of the merchandise not only for that night, but until each brides’ big day. We also gave away a massage from Massage Envy, a workout package from Studio East 54, and dinner for two at City Kitchen Chapel Hill. If you missed out this time, just keep an eye out for the next one!

Lastly, we attended an International Special Events Society (ISES) meeting at Classic Party Rentals. The theme of the evening was social media and we had the opportunity to learn from experts within our industry on how to best use social media for our market. I’ve got to admit, though, that my favorite part of the night were these delicious social media themed cupcakes. Who doesn’t want a Twitter cupcake?!

So, we wrapped up another successful month and we are on to a busy, busy May! I’m sure we’ll still have some time to squeeze in some adventures though. Be sure to stop by early next month to see what we’ve been up to!
