Leila and Bryan were married this past September at beautiful Bay 7 in Durham. Leila and Bryan chose Bay 7 as their wedding venue because they could completely make it their own and showcase their personalities perfectly! Their ceremony was held outdoors in “The Stack,” which is a part of the American Tobacco Campus. It is definitely a hidden gem! They wanted their ceremony to be very unique, and The Stack was perfect for them.
It was important for Leila and Bryan to devise some activities to keep their guests entertained during the cocktail hour while the bridal party was taking photos. Guests had a great time playing Checkers, giant size Jenga, corn hole (with personalized boards!), Tic Tac Toe with giant play pieces, and more! One of our favorite diversions was a lemonade stand, which Leila’s father made just for the occasion. The guests loved it, and of course they loved the delicious “spiked” lemonade that was served! Leila and Bryan’s guest book was an actual Jenga game, and guests signed the small wooden pieces as a keepsake for the bride and groom – such a unique idea! The balloon wall was another favorite part of the cocktail hour; guests used it as a backdrop for photos that they took- we loved it!
Leila and Bryan’s guests had a wonderful time dancing the night away, and they loved that there were special treats for them towards the end of the evening! Leila and Bryan spoiled their guests with donuts flambe and grilled cheese stations- YUM! We were very lucky to have the opportunity to work with such a wonderful couple! Thank you Kellie Kano for the beautiful images!
Their first date was at Steak n’ Shake, so they brought along their hats and cups to pose with!
