We are excited to share this beautiful and amazing couple’s wedding with you! Sophia and Jake were married this past April at the rustic and charming Barn at Valhalla in Carrboro. They were lots of fun to work with, and their personalities really showed through in the details of their wedding. They planned a weekend for their family and guests to really enjoy the celebration of the love they had for each other. Everyone got to spend the day at the venue before the ceremony soaking up the sunshine and playing lawn games before the rehearsal.
Sophia and Jake’s ability to adapt really showed through on the day of the ceremony…it rained!!! They made the best of the rainy day and it could not have turned out more perfectly! Handmade streamers hung from the ceiling inside the barn, giving vibrant color to the room. This made for a perfect and cheery indoor location for the ceremony! In addition to the handmade streamers, we added warmth to the altar area by adding sheer curtains draped from the doorway. This added a soft and romantic feel to the space. With the doors open behind them letting in the natural light, it was a picture perfect moment for Robyn Van Dyke to capture! Immediately following the ceremony, guests were invited under the tent for a delicious dinner by Olio and Aceto’s food truck! After dinner, guests gathered back inside the barn for a night full of dancing! It was such a wonderful event for Sophia and Jake’s family and friends to share and witness the love they have for each other!
Thank you to Robyn Van Dyke photography for capturing these breathtaking images below!
A special thank you goes to the vendors that all came together to help Sophia and Jake celebrate their special day!
