Meet Will and Kathleen, one of our amazing couples getting married in just a few short weeks! We couldn’t think of a better way to help Will and Kathleen kick off their wedding month than by sharing with you their engagement session shot by the ever talented Michael Moss Photography in downtown Raleigh!
Will and Kathleen’s love for each other is infectious, you can’t help but smile! This sweet couple met in the 7th grade, became the best of friends throughout high school and eventually fell in love one summer home from college! We cannot wait for their wedding celebration which will be hosted at Sacred Heart Cathedral and the beautiful Merrimon-Wynne House later this month!
We asked Kathleen and Will a few questions about their engagement and the wedding planning process thus far. Make sure you check out their answers below 🙂
How did Will propose? Will proposed at my family’s house in Update New York – it’s my favorite place in the world. It’s same the place my grandparents met and fell in love years ago and was just steps from where my Dad proposed to my Mom. We celebrated afterward with my parents, brother and grandparents afterward. It was a perfect day.
What are you most excited about for the day of the wedding? It’s corny – but I’m most excited about actually getting married. The priest marrying us was our religion teacher in middle school and the mass means a lot to us both. But, do not get me wrong – I’m also incredibly excited to be surrounding by all of our loved ones in such a fun setting.
What are three words to describe the feel of your upcoming wedding? The most excited.
Where are you going on your honeymoon? We are staying at the Iberostar Grande in Riveria Maya, Mexico. We will either be posted up at our private pool or on the beach with a fruity drink in hand.
What made you decide to hire a planner? We had heard such great things about Southern Soiree, and working with them and Kelley Ann was one of the best decisions of the entire wedding. Kelley Ann did such a great job making sure we were on track and things were getting done! Having a hectic job, they were the most helpful (my mom was also incredibly helpful and worked closely with Kelley Ann).
