Samantha and David's Fairytale Umstead Wedding

Samantha and David were married this past April at the elegant The Umstead Hotel and Spa! Their wedding was one for the books and we were so honored to help bring their vision to life. North Carolina was the perfect location for Samantha and David to say "I Do" as they both have ties to the area. Samantha grew up in eastern NC, and although David was from up north they both found attended the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.

We could not have asked for a more beautiful spring day! The sun was shining, the air had a slight breeze, and the Umstead's ceremony lawn never looked better!

Watered Garden Florist and Jefferson's/New Growth Designs outdid themselves decorating the aisle and altar! Standing beneath a stunning chuppah adorned with lush white and blush roses, peonies, cherry blossoms and hydrangeas, Samantha and David were married by their dear friend Seth. Samantha's gorgeous Oscar de la Renta gown was accented with a flowing blusher and veil and every single detail of this wedding was perfectly planned, down to the family locket pinned on Samantha's hand-tied bouquet. Inside the locket was a picture of her late grandfather and the family dog, Libby! We can't forget the second (OK in his mind he was the real star) star of the show, Tiger (Samantha ... and David's dog). Tiger was the most precious ring bearer to date and looked handsome as ever with his tux and floral leash created by Watered Garden!

The reception space was no exception to this extravagant affair; around every corner was another show stopping piece! New Growth Designs, Watered Garden, and Mason Dixon Designs worked together to create one of the most beautiful escort card walls we've seen! As guests were welcomed inside the main ballroom, they were presented with a gigantic floral chandelier and a boxwood wall with Samantha and David's names written in flowers!

To cap off the night, guests were invited to watch Samantha and David cut their jaw-dropping 5 tier cake by Ashley Cakes in the dessert room ... yes, we said it ...an entire room dedicated to desserts! Banana, Strawberry, Chocolate, and Signature White Cake with a Doughnut and Ice Cream Station filled with even more flavors (Cinnamon Sugar, Oreo, Salted Caramel to name a few) filled the room.

Andia's Homemade Ice Cream even had a freshly made waffle cone station set up! It was every sugar lover's dream!

Fueled by all that sugar, guests danced the night away to the amazing music provided by Jessie's Girl...and CONFETTI! Who doesn't love dancing in falling confetti?? Sadly, the night eventually ended, but we made sure Samantha and David were sent off with tons of love and .. you guessed it .. more confetti ;)
