We’re back with more excellent bridal advice from the experts who have been in your shoes!  We’re asked our past clients for their perspectives on the wedding planning process– everything from their favorite moments to what they might have done differently!  Today we’re sharing great tips from two more brides we are so grateful to have worked with over the last few years. Please give a warm welcome to Maggie and Sara!

    1) What aspect of your wedding did you love the most?

Wow…tough one. The whole thing was so amazing. Looking back, the things that really stick in my mind are the “first look” that we did before the ceremony. it was such a private, intimate moment that we shared. Then the DANCING!

    2) What was the one (or few) things you stressed the most over during planning? (did it end up being a priority on the day-of?)

Stressed over the seating chart but we spent time on it and I think we found that it was worth the effort put in as everyone mingled and had a good time. Also the budget was a constant source of stress, but I think we managed it well and put our money into things we thought were important (like TENT FLOORING. ALWAYS SPRING FOR THE TENT FLOORING!)

    3) What do you wish you had put more money into your budget for/why?

Tent was super expensive. I thought, oh let’s have an outdoor wedding, it will be less expensive. not really (see item #2 about the flooring!). Also, we budgeted well for it, but providing transport for guests was a top priority and I think they really appreciated it.

    4) What did your planner do on the day-of that you didn’t expect or know of until after the day was over?

Megan basically dealt with everything. She was fantastic. I didn’t have to think about an entire thing on the day of the wedding, because she and her team just dealt. Such a nice feeling. It was so seemless, I didn’t worry about a thing on the day. What a blessing. I do remember someone lost something and Megan and her crew were there going through the garbage at midnight looking for it. I was busy watching fireworks and had no idea. How great is that!

PicMonkey Collage1) What aspect of your wedding did you love the most?

While the entire wedding was wonderful, I have to say that my favorite moment was the last song when everyone came together on the dance floor and belted out Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing.” Such a perfect ending to a perfect day.

    2) What was the one (or few) things you stressed the most over during planning? (did it end up being a priority on the day-of?)

The hardest part of the planning process was doing it remotely. We live in Boston but were married in Raleigh where I grew up. We had to make sure that we packed all of our vendor visits into the few weekends we were in town, which was somewhat tiring and a little stressful. Ultimately, though, Megan made sure to only introduce us to the best vendors and we had a rock-star team on our wedding day.

    3) What do you wish you had put more money into your budget for/why?

If I could do it all over again, I would probably spend the extra money on a videographer. The whole day flew by and I would love to be able to watch pieces of it again.

    4) What did your planner do on the day-of that you didn’t expect or know of until after the day was over?

Luckily for us, it appeared that everything went smoothly from start to finish. If there were any issues, Megan and her team did a GREAT job of addressing them without giving off even the hint of a problem.
