Jennifer and Jeremy's Umstead Wedding!
Jennifer and Jeremy were married in May at The Umstead Hotel in Cary. One of the neat things about this wedding is that I had the opportunity to plan and work with Jennifer’s family back in May of 2009 when her brother Evan got married and had the reception at The Renaissance at North Hills. Evan and Satomi just celebrated their 3 year anniversary and it was great to see them again and know they are happy and doing well! So, I officially met Jennifer three years ago and then we reconnected when she contacted me for her own wedding!
Jennifer and Jeremy wanted a beautiful, laid-back, garden-like feel to their ceremony and a formal, but fun, feel for the reception. This was my 2nd Jewish ceremony this Spring and I must say, I love all the tradition, emotion, and symbolism that is incorporated into the ceremony activities. Before the ceremony, they signed the Ketubah and the love in the room between the two families was heart-warming. I also love how involved both sets of parents are in the ceremony itself and that for this wedding, they got a front row seat right under the chuppah!
The reception was a blast. The band Mr. Potato Head kept everyone on the dance floor all night and Jeremy even got up to sing a few songs with the band… a great time was had by all!
Thank you so much to Arlene, the mother of the bride, for the review she wrote on WeddingWire about her experience working with us:
My daughter’s wedding the first week in May was the second time that our family had the pleasure of working with Megan. The first time was my son’s wedding in May of 2009 which was complicated because the bride and her family were from Japan and we were planning the wedding in the US. We were thrilled with both weddings. If a wedding day can be stress-free, these certainly were because of the superior planning, attention to detail and professionalism that Megan exudes in everything she does. My daughter and her then husband-to-be were swamped a couple of weeks before the wedding because of graduate and law school finals, graduation preparation and job searches. Megan had everything under control and everything worked beautifully as my daughter had hoped it would. It couldn’t have been better!
