“We hired A Southern Soiree after we selected our reception venue. This was due to the fact that our venue was an empty space and required us hiring vendors for our rentals, lighting, caterer, flowers, etc. With that said, we needed someone to help with a complete day of coordination effort. I knew that we needed someone who understood our vision and was able to execute that on the big day. Let me tell you, we received so much more than that! We were living in NYC and getting married in NC and needed some major assistance with vendor recommendation as well. We wanted to make sure we selected reputable vendors that provided the same level of service as A Southern Soiree team. We worked with Kailey well in advance of the big day to go over all the details. She was so helpful in providing all of the guidance we needed up front and carried through on everything through the big day. She continued to meet with us in person and we probably exchanged over a 100 emails to make sure that she had every little detail. The few weeks before the wedding were very stressful and Kailey was confirming the details and logistics with ALL of our vendors. She put together a timeline not only for the bridal party, but also for the vendors, so everyone knew where to be and when to be there. I truly can say, that I would have no idea how it would have all come together without her. The amount of time and detail she put into everything was above and beyond anything I could have asked for. People always tell you to expect something to go wrong on your wedding day and I can honestly say that we did not experience that and I attribute that to Kailey and her team. We had no “vision” at all, the bride and groom live in Boston and the church was unavailable after we had reserved it and booked our vendors. “Kailey and her assistant were ROCK STARS in literally taking care of everything! And by everything, I even mean the hail storm that came through on Friday and FLOODED our ceremony site with 4 feet of water! “Where do I begin? The Weekend of March 19th was the greatest time of my life., Megan is a blessing. “There simply are not enough synonyms for the word “superb” to describe my experience with Southern Soiree. Megan went above and beyond in every possible way to make our wedding day a success and it could not have been more perfect. I was an out-of-town bride with a demanding work schedule and Megan stepped in to get us over the finish line. Though we hired Megan as a “weekend of coordinator,” she became so much more. Every time we had an issue, question, or needed guidance, Megan was more than happy to step in. She did not nickel and dime us for every consultation as some coordinators do, and always promptly responded to my sometimes incessant emails. She also always understood our vision for the wedding and did her very best to implement it. While in the midst of a very serious linen crisis, Megan went so far as to take pictures of various linens and send them to me since I was in Atlanta and unable to make it to Raleigh. I was admittedly a difficult bride, loathe to make decisions, but Megan was always there with her gentle nudges to get us to where we needed to be, just in the nick of time. Megan has a great deal of experience that makes her invaluable to brides, but more than that, she has a personality that puts her a head above the rest. “Go ahead and do yourself a favor: HIRE GINA FOR ALL YOUR WEDDING DAY NEEDS!!!!!!! I had a simple wedding and, at first, I wasn’t sure if I needed a wedding coordinator. My goal was to be involved as much as possible but go completely “hands off” around the actual wedding. Furthermore, it was very important to me to not have any family nor friends “working” on my wedding. I wanted everyone to have fun and not feel put out by the sometimes daunting tasks of wedding planning. Gina made me feel very comfortable at our first meeting. She didn’t “should” me to death (“you should consider this” or “You should have this done by such and such time) and was not overly pushy. I had a very clear vision of how I wanted my event to go early on and she respected that and hit the ground running. When time drew closer to the big day, I let Gina know that thanks to my Pinterest addiction, I would have many decorations and personal effects at my event.
