“Megan was amazing! We engaged her for our daughter’s wedding and had her assist us with everything. No challenge was too great. We had no “vision” at all, the bride and groom live in Boston and the church was unavailable after we had reserved it and booked our vendors. She only recommended the best vendors and made appointments with them on the few weekends when the bride could come to Raleigh. She handled every detail for us and as a result the wedding day was perfect! We didn’t have to worry about a thing. If situations arose, we were totally unaware of them because she handled them. Looking back, I have no idea how I would have planned a wedding and worked at the same time if it had not been for Megan. “Kailey and her assistant were ROCK STARS in literally taking care of everything! And by everything, I even mean the hail storm that came through on Friday and FLOODED our ceremony site with 4 feet of water! But Kailey remained calm and optimistic, calling plumbers to have the water pumped out (HA!)- By Saturday, the water was gone and we had our DREAM outdoor wedding! At the reception, Kailey and her team pampered my husband and me, bringing us food and drinks to our sweetheart table all night long! We didn’t have to worry about a thing and were able to truly enjoy every second of our wedding and reception! “When my daughter first got engaged and we were figuring out our budget, a planner was not somewhere I wanted to spend money but I must say that working with Megan and the others at Southern Soiree was some of the best spent money of the occasion. “Where do I begin? The Weekend of March 19th was the greatest time of my life., Megan is a blessing. NO matter what I called her for/about she stayed calm and positive, I really needed that with everything that was going on in my life at the time. She was kind and worked hard to make sure things went well. My wedding wasn’t a big wedding ( less than 50 people) and yet she treated it and me like someone who was having a 300 guest wedding would be treated! “There simply are not enough synonyms for the word “superb” to describe my experience with Southern Soiree. Megan went above and beyond in every possible way to make our wedding day a success and it could not have been more perfect. I was an out-of-town bride with a demanding work schedule and Megan stepped in to get us over the finish line. Though we hired Megan as a “weekend of coordinator,” she became so much more. Every time we had an issue, question, or needed guidance, Megan was more than happy to step in. She did not nickel and dime us for every consultation as some coordinators do, and always promptly responded to my sometimes incessant emails. She also always understood our vision for the wedding and did her very best to implement it. While in the midst of a very serious linen crisis, Megan went so far as to take pictures of various linens and send them to me since I was in Atlanta and unable to make it to Raleigh. I was admittedly a difficult bride, loathe to make decisions, but Megan was always there with her gentle nudges to get us to where we needed to be, just in the nick of time. Megan has a great deal of experience that makes her invaluable to brides, but more than that, she has a personality that puts her a head above the rest. She is funny, comforting, intelligent, well-spoken, and generally a joy to be around. You could not find a better person to help you with your special day.
